Lantech, the world’s leading manufacturer of stretch wrapping equipment, recently announced the introduction of its patented No Film Break™, or NFB, stretch film delivery system. NFB is a revolutionary design approach that eliminates film breaks on loads with sharp corners or that are irregularly shaped. In addition, NFB prevents breakage while doubling the wrap force applied to the load.

The NFB system is currently available on three Lantech models.

  1. The Lantech Q-400XT is a turntable spiral machine, designed to wrap 30-40 loads per hour.
  2. The Lantech S-NFB is a fully automatic overhead straddle machine, designed to wrap 75-90 loads per hour.
  3. The Lantech RS-6000 is a fully automatic ring straddle machine, which can run up to 180 loads per hour.

Lantech stretch wrappers are renowned for innovative engineering, reliability, and durability. We’re excited about the new NFB technology because it makes stretch wrapping a viable option in applications where puncturing was too great a hurdle to overcome. For operations that currently use stretch film but experience downtime due to film breakage, NFB should lead to substantially improved productivity.

Lantech studies indicate that film breakage causes increasingly time consuming work stoppage. While the first film break may result in downtime of only five minutes, the fourth break causes stoppages of 15 minutes – operators spend more time observing the problem and trying to adjust the machine. Persistent film breakage can cause downtime running into hours per shift or per day.

In addition, the superior holding force produced by the NFB film delivery system will ensure optimally protected loads, reducing loss due to damage and improving customer satisfaction. As usual, Lantech delivers the complete package – innovative technology that creates significant benefits for both the stretch film user and the customer who receives the stretch wrapped load.
