Standard size boxes and bags are ideal for shipment from assembly plants to retail outlets, or for shipment from centralized distribution centers to retail outlets. If branding and product identification are particularly important, custom printing on boxes and bags is easily accomplished. Environmental statements are also sometimes helpful on poly bags, given the large amount of plastic material used in their manufacture.
For environmentally sensitive mattress companies, we offer corrugated mattress boxes with high recycled content, and can provide mattress bags in a variety of film formulations that contain high post consumer recycled content.
Mattress bags are used in two ways. For retail applications involving customer pick-up or local delivery, thin gauge bags are more economical and practical. For intra-plant shipment and heavier duty retail delivery applications, heavier weight bags are necessary. Because mattress bags are so large, finding the right film formulation is exceedingly important. A higher quality bag can get the job done in a thinner gauge, creating a considerable cost savings over heavier, less durable bags.
Along similar lines, mattress boxes can also be manufactured in a variety of corrugated constructions – some being far more economical than others.
