IntelliPack Foam-in-Place Packaging

Pregis Intellipack, the “Foam-in-Place Systems with a High IQ”, recently moved production to a larger facility in Tulsa, OK.

Here in Arizona, we’ve found our customers to be very excited about the IntelliPack product line, and we’re not alone: this economical and tremendously versatile packaging material has seen an increase in demand across the U.S. Pregis, demonstrating strong support for their newly acquired line, consolidated and expanded production for IntelliPack in one of its Tulsa manufacturing plants.

Foam in place, or foam in bag, packaging has been around for many years, originally developed by Sealed Air. In recent years, the popularity of foam in place packaging has increased as technology has made system delivery faster, more flexible, and cleaner. IntelliPack has led the industry in technical innovation for foam in bag packaging systems, offering several models to accommodate virtually any void fill, cushioning, or bracing application.

From a service perspective, IntelliPack holds to the principle that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The IntelliPack Telemetry diagnostic tool allows users to monitor system performance on a daily basis, spotting potential problems before they create real ones.

Foam in place systems are well suited to packaging applications involving fragile products, oversized products, and for packaging lines where case size and contents vary. Foams are available in a variety of densities designed for specific packaging, shipping, and storage needs. IntelliPack reduces or eliminates the need for costly wood crating and multiwall corrugated containers, and with the proper automation technology, brings greater efficiency to the packaging process.
